What began as a quirky in-game moment has blossomed into a new concession offering at American Family Field. Brewers manager Pat Murphy—famously known for stashing pancakes in his hoodie pocket—has inspired the team’s latest ballpark treat: “Murph’s Pocket Pancakes,” available at Sunday home games, according to Adam McCalvy of Brewers.com.

Murphy first grabbed national attention when he pulled a pancake from his hoodie pocket during a dugout interview against the Nationals, mid-game. He took a bite on camera and casually offered some to the sideline reporter—solidifying his status as MLB’s most unconventional snacker.

Two versions of the snack are on deck:

  • Ball Four Pocket Pack: Four mini pancakes served with maple syrup or strawberry compote — $4.99.
  • Double Chicken ’n’ Pancakes Pocket Pack: Two pancakes stuffed with chicken tenders, topped with chopped bacon and drizzled with sweet maple syrup — $7.99.

Both treats are available exclusively on Sundays at the Chicken Stands in the First- and Third-Base Wards, with the debut set for this weekend’s game versus the Mets. The creations were developed by chefs Joe Muench (Blackshoe Hospitality) and Alex Beronja (Delaware North).

While the ballpark version comes in a hygienic cardboard carrier, Murphy’s pocket-snacking tradition has become a part of Brewers lore. It not only helps take the attention and pressure off the young players on the team, it now is a revenue source for the small market Brewers, who presently hold the best record in all of Major League Baseball.
