The annual Super Bowl is Sunday (dang, the Packers could have been there). The Super Bowl for Wisconsin political geeks happens more frequently, with yesterday being the the most recent occurrence. That’s when the Marquette University Law School Poll was released.
We bring you some analysis today (see below) but here is a one sentence summary of the results: Wisconsin remains a politically divided state and voters are generally dissatisfied with Washington and Madison’s inability to resolve key issues.

MU Law School Poll, Released February 7, 2024
- Registered voters are less enthusiastic about voting than they were in January 2020… In the current survey, 49% say they are very enthusiastic about voting in November, compared to 70% at the comparable time four years ago.
- A majority (57%) of registered voters say that Wisconsin generally is on the wrong track, while 42% say it is headed in the right direction. In November, 62% said the state was on the wrong track and 36% said it was headed in the right direction.
- Respondents’ family financial situation is little changed since November. Among registered voters, 49% say they are living comfortably, 38% say they are just getting by, and 13% say they are struggling.
