“Green and Gold” follows Buck, a dairy farmer played by Craig T. Nelson, who’s in a battle to save his ancestral land from being repossessed. The story unfolds in the challenging early ’90s farm crisis, where Buck’s plight is both personal and universal. His granddaughter, brought to life by Madison Lawlor, has her sights set on a music career, creating a clash of old and new dreams. In a twist of fate, Buck makes a bet with the bank on the Packers’ Super Bowl success, putting everything on the line.
The film was shot where it breathes – in Door County and Green Bay, Wisconsin. Door County’s scenic vistas and Green Bay’s legendary Lambeau Field are not just settings; they’re said to characters in the movie.
The ensemble includes Brandon Sklenar. the late M. Emmet Walsh in his final film, Annabel Armour, and home-grown comedian Charlie Berens. The film is directed by Anders Lindwall, with his brother Davin Lindwall producing, both Packers fans with a deep connection to the Upper Midwest, The movie also features real farmers, Dave and Tamie Grasse, Philip and Mary Bley, and John Sawyer.

The studio suggested filming in Alabama for the tax benefits, but the producers, ardent Packer backers, insisted on shooting in Wisconsin, capturing several local locations for which Wisconsinites will surely be searching when they view the indie pic.
The film is slated for a national release on January 31, 2025.
