The Wisconsin Safety Council, the state’s top provider of safety training and products, unveiled the recipients of its 31st annual Workplace Safety Awards on Thursday. The initiative, backed by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development and M3 Insurance, honors companies across the state for their outstanding commitment to fostering a culture of safety and maintaining impressive safety records.
Aaron Huebner, executive director of the Wisconsin Safety Council, praised the winners for their dedication. “Prioritizing safety is often the gift that keeps on giving,” Huebner said. “A safe working environment will likely directly result in better camaraderie and employee satisfaction, higher efficiency, increased product quality, and more. Most importantly, though, a safe workplace means that employees go home to their families in the same condition they came – whole and healthy. Thank you and congratulations to these companies, who worked hard to keep their whole team safe this year.”
Department of Workforce Development Secretary Amy Pechacek emphasized the broader impact of these efforts. “Many employers throughout our state every day demonstrate their commitment to keeping workers safe and healthy on the job, and we’re happy to help recognize their efforts,” Pechacek said. “These are the kinds of commitments that give Wisconsin employers a competitive edge in attracting and retaining members of our best-in-class workforce. Fewer injuries also mean workers and employers can focus on meeting production schedules and delivering quality products and customer service.”
The awards, divided into three categories based on industry and company size, recognized the following winners:

This year’s awards, formerly called the Corporate Safety Awards, were rebranded as the Workplace Safety Awards to spotlight the teamwork behind safe workplaces. Chris Halverson, senior director of risk management at M3 Insurance, underscored the importance of the recognition. “At M3 Insurance, we believe that a safe workplace is fundamental to the success of any business and the prosperity of our state,” Halverson said. “We’re honored to sponsor these awards and recognize the companies and individuals who go above and beyond to ensure the safety of their employees and communities.”
Representatives from the winning companies will receive their awards at the Wisconsin Safety Council’s Annual Conference, set for April 14-16 in the Wisconsin Dells. For more details on the council’s programs, training sessions, and events, visit www.wisafetycouncil.org.
